Heavy police force deployed after school bus torched

Heavy police force was deployed after locals torched a school bus and obstructed fire tenders to pacify the fire which mowed down a five-year-old girl at Arif Nagar on Thursday.

The incident which took place around 3 pm when the deceased identified as 6-year-old Kulsum was hit by running bus while playing her house and declared dead when rushed to a nearby hospital.

The bus driver escaped the spot leaving the bus after which massive crowd gathered at the spot and infuriated over the incident torched the bus and later obstructed the way of fire tender vehicles leaving the bus to damage completely.

The protesting mob demanding arrest of the driver and compensation for the deceased kid stopped the fire tenders from reaching the bus engulfed in fire and was completely gutted in fire.

Taking precautionary action to avert any untoward incident heavy police force was deployed in the area and after the intervention of the police the protestors were pacified.

The driver of school bus Sadiq Khan who also lives in the same area came to have lunch but incidentally mowed the kid. The school bus belonged to Sagar Public school. The protestors were demanding arrest of the errant driver.

After the police teams reached the spot gathered mob was disbursed and later the body was sent for the post mortem. The police have registered a case registered under section 304 A of the IPC. Police said that the accused driver has been nabbed and started further investigation.
