Two boys drowned today while taking a bath in a well in Rajasthan's Jhalawar district, police said.
Suresh Tanwar (15) and Raju Tanwar (10), both residents of Nayakheda village, drowned this morning in a well in their village, Bakani police station SHO Umesh Menariya said.
The bodies were handed over to their family members after postmortem.
The two boys were allegedly not fully trained in swimming but while taking a bath, ventured deep into the well and drowned, he added.
Another boy who was playing at a distance noticed the two drowning. Soon after, he raised the alarm following which the family members and villagers from nearby rushed to the spot. The duo, however, had already died, the SHO said.
The bodies of the two were handed over to their family members after postmortem and a case was registered under CrPC Section 174 (unnatural death), Menariya said, adding that a probe into the matter is on.
