Eligible persons will be able to avail benefits of schemes: Umashankar

Eligible persons need not worry as all of them will be able to avail the benefits of the schemes. They must get themselves registered under the schemes without fail. This was stated by Revenue, Science and Technology Minister Umashankar Gupta while distributing the electricity bill waiver certificates to people under Saral Bijli Bill Scheme in Shiv Nagar of Ward-31. Gupta distributed the registration certificates of Sambal Yojana also.

Revenue Minister Gupta said that the government has started distribution of wheat, rice and salt at Re one to eradicate poverty. The centre has relieved poor women from smoke of chulhas through the Ujjwala Yojana. Pucca houses are being made available to the poor under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. He told that the Mukhya Mantri Kanyadan/Nikah Yojana, Ladli Laxmi Yojana has relieved the poor persons from the tension of the marriage of their daughters.

Government will pay the fees of the children from the families included in Sambal Yojana. The government will bear the expense of treatment. Pregnant women will be given Rs 4,000 and Rs 12,000 will be given to women post-delivery. A sum of Rs 4 lakh will be given on death by accident, Rs 2 lakh on ordinary death and Rs one lakh for disability. Total of Rs 5,000 will be provided for last rites. A monthly flat rate of Rs 200 will be charged for electricity from the poor. Gupta said that all those persons who do not pay income tax and are not in government service will be eligible under the scheme. Local public representatives were present.
