Class X student stabs his senior 4 times in Shahdara school

In a shocking incident, a Class12 student was stabbed on Thursday morning by a student in Class 10. The incident occurred at Government Boys’ Senior secondary school in Krishna Nagar, Shahdara District, at around 8:30 am during Thursday morning assembly prayers.

Initial probe by police has revealed that the stabbing was followed by verbal duel between two groups of students who were at odds with each other for quite some time.   Verbal spat took an ugly turn after a student of Class 10 stabbed his senior four times. He was taken to a hospital and is out of danger.

An eyewitness alleged that the students had earlier fought after class the day before. On Thursday morning, the accused student came to school and stabbed the Class 12 student. The wounds caused by the attack were very deep.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Shahdara district, Meghna Yadav said the student was stabbed four times. The Class 10 student who stabbed the victim has been apprehended and legal action will be taken.  The accused student is above the age of 18 and is not a juvenile.

A police official involved in the probe said, “How did the accused student bring knife inside school premises and whether it was a premeditated assault.  The weapon of offence (knife) used in the crime has also been recovered,” the official said.
