Telangana CM to meet Modi, other Cabinet ministers

Hyderabad, Aug 3 Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao is leaving for New Delhi on a three-day tour. He will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Cabinet Ministers to discuss various proposals pending with the Centre.

Top on the agenda of the Chief Minister is to get Central nod for the proposed zonal system which will determine the reservation for the locals in the zones.

The State Government has proposed to divide the 31 districts into seven zones and two multi-zones. People in the respective zones will be reserved 95 per cent of the jobs created in a particular zone, leaving the remaining for the open category.

The new zonal system, however, needs a Presidential ratification. The Chief Minister would also insist on the promises made by the Centre at the time of bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.
