Hi-tech ‘Security Operations Centre’ soon in State

A state-of-art Security Operations Centre (SOC) is proposed to be set up under CG-SKY project at Chhattisgarh State Data Centre in Raipur soon, officials informed.

The increase in mobile penetration would result in higher cyber activity; therefore establishing a SOC is a logical step towards a safer cyber space, they informed.

Through SOC, it is proposed to implement security solution to the State Data Centre which includes equipment, software and deployment of specialised Human Resources for functioning of SOC.

A provision of Rs 15 crore for setting up of SOC under CG-SKY scheme has been made, officials informed.

The SOC will ensure round-the-clock monitoring of the cyber security posture of the State of Chhattisgarh by preventing, detecting, analysing and responding to cyber security threats and incidents.
