Despite this, Vindya could not carve out its distinct identity. White tiger was the lone phenomena as flag bearer of Rewa in the world map.
But even it had become extinct with passage of time. However, Shukla had a ping of pain in his heart over this situation. With firm resolve, Shukla rehabilitated back the white tiger here due to his passion and perseverance to achieve the goal. The dedication and commitment of Shukla is visible as development of Vindhya in every nook and corner of the region.
Shukla has played an unforgettable and unprecedented role in carving a bright and distinct identity to Vindhya on the country’s map.Rajendra Shukla has kept in his top priorities the economic, social, cultural and tourism development of Vindhya region. Shukla has got sanction several major road whose construction is underway speedily.
In the first phase, road will be made motorable which include Mangawan to Chakghat, Rewa-Hanumana, Jabalpur-Bela, Rewa-Sidhi-Singrauli etc are included. Rewa to Banaras road has completed.
Rewa to Shahdol- Amarkantak road has been included in Pradhan Mantri Chaturbhuj Yojna. In near future, new 6-lane road is being constructed. Besides these, Shukla had got laid a network of road in local areas, small townships and villages. Nowadays almost all rural roads have been connected with main roads in Rewa.
Man of administrative efficiency
Shukla has also lived up to acid test of Minister Ship while holding important portfolios during his 3 terms in the state cabinet. Shukla’s qualities include steadfastness with leadership and commitment towards achieving state government’s targets.
He was given responsibility to electrify Madhya Pradesh. He steered the state out of electricity crisis. As a result, Madhya Pradesh is now a power-surplus state. He had also established a distinct identity as the Public Relations Minister and implemented a number of schemes for the benefit of journalists.
Shukla is discharging responsibilities of Industries and Mineral Resources departments with finesse. Taking resolve to bring industrial revolution in entire state, he has set target to lay network of industries throughout the state. He has achieved success in establishment of mineral-based industries and augmentation of revenue.
During his tenure, there has been considerable increase in revenue of mineral resources department.
