Bhopal: As many as four incidents of harassment were reported from various corners of the city in last twenty four hours and four persons have been arrested in connection with the incidents. In the first incident, a 20-year-old woman was allegedly harassed by two miscreants while she was returning with her husband from Hamidia hospital on Wednesday night.
The complainant a resident of Aishbagh and was coming on a two-wheeler along with her husband from hospital around 11:30 pm when the duo waylaid the couple near Prime Hotel under the limits of Hanumanganj police station. The miscreants touched the woman inappropriately and even asked for her contact number. The woman later called police and the duo was arrested from bus stand. They have been identified as 19-year-old Shahrukh and Aman, 20.
Hanumanganj SHO Sudesh Tiwari when contacted said however said that woman’s husband was not with her at the time of incident and he accompanied the police when the duo was held. Meanwhile, in another incident a minor girl was waylaid and harassed by two youths when she was heading towards her coaching class. According to Baghsewania police, the 13-year-old complainant is a resident of Pipaliya Pende Khan and was heading towards her coaching on Wednesday at around 2 pm when the duo waylaid her.
When the two started harassing the girl, she screamed for help. The duo fled from the spot. The minor narrated the incident to her family and later a complaint against a two was lodged. Baghsewania police said that the accused have been arrested and are identified as Lalit and Mohan.
A harassment complaint was filed at Piplani police station. The complainant, a resident of Chattisgarh colony told police that she was receiving indecent calls from an unidentified number for last few days after which she decided to approach police. On Thursday she filed a complaint and a case has been registered against unidentified person under sections 507 and 509 of the IPC, said ShO Piplani Rakesh Shrivastav.
Meanwhile, a minor girl on Wednesday lodged a complaint against her landlord for harassing her. According to Ashoka Garden police, the complainant’s family has taken up a rented accommodation. On Wednesday evening when the minor was heading to her coaching class, the accused blocked her way and tried to harass her. She briefed her father about the incident and a complaint was filed against the man.
