Grease is still the word: where to celebrate the film's 40th birthday

It's 40 years since Grease was released and Sandy, Danny and the rest of the seniors at Rydell High sang and danced their way into our hearts.

You can relive the magic on the big screen, with Canberra cinemas showing the 1978 film in August to celebrate the 40th anniversary.

Hoyts is showing Grease on August 8. Dendy Cinemas in the Canberra Centre is showing Grease on August 16 and 17 while the Palace Electric Cinema in New Acton is screening it on August 18.  Events Cinemas in Manuka is holding a Grease sing-a-long version on August  19.
