Karthik-Ashwin’s Tamil stump talk trends
Day 1 of the first Specsavers Test between India and England at Edgbaston, saw Dinesh Karthik and R Ashwin take the stump-mic game to a whole new level. But this time, it was not just the England batsmen who were couldn’t understand a thing. They spoke in Tamil throughout the game baffling a few of their teammates as well. Karthik was heard asking Ashwin to maintain the length for Alastair Cook and keep the ball in line. He asked Ashwin to be patient as “things will happen” and that the ball will turn. The two kept their banter on even after Cook got out.
