Pa. to join 19 states in suit over Trump administration plan to rollback fuel-efficiency requirements
Thursday, 2 August 2018 () The U.S. Department of Transportation's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and Environmental Protection Agency released a proposed rule Thursday, essentially calling for a rollback of the Obama administration's aggressive rule for increasing fuel efficiency in cars and light trucks from 2022 through 2025. The Obama rule, set in 2012, called for increasingly ratcheting up fuel economy standards to 54.5 miles per gallon by 2025.
