Washington: Ivanka Trump said she did not agree the media were “the enemy of the people”, breaking with one of President Trump’s frequent attacks on the press.
At an event sponsored by Axios, the senior White House adviser said she had been the subject of reporting she knows “not to be fully accurate” but said: “no, I don’t feel the media is the enemy of the people.” Trump labelled the media the “enemy of the people” and accused reporters of spreading “fake news” — his term for stories he disliked. Ivanka agreed that separation of children from parents at the border was a “low point” for the administration.
