Nagpur: A friendship, started from a casual chatting on Facebook, turned sour after 21-year-old Satish Ramteke allegedly sexually exploited his girlfriend, 18, after administering some sedatives. He also allegedly clicked photographs while they were in a compromising position and circulated in on the social networking groups of survivor’s fellow students and teachers.
Ramteke, a second year student of Bachelor Computer Application (BCA), had befriended the survivor, also a college student, following their chats on Facebook. He also had gifted her a mobile phone. After a brief courtship, Ramteke had lured the survivor to his place before offering her some sedatives laced beverages.
As the survivor was sedated, Ramteke is learnt to have exploited her. Ramteke later started threatening the survivor against revealing his misdeeds. He also threatened to make her explicit photographs viral on social groups.
The survivor later started avoiding Ramteke which left him enraged. She had also returned the phone gifted by him. A miffed Ramteke avenged her distancing him by posting her illicit photographs in several social networking groups. The survivor and her family later approached the Lakadganj cops who promptly picked up Ramteke before placing him under arrest. He has been remanded to police custody till August 4.
