A number of youths on Wednesday lodged a complaint with the Jatni police against an organization, HFCO, for having duped them of their money on the guise of providing jobs. The HFCO, which had offices in  Khordha, Bhubaneswar, Jatni and Puri  had told the youths that it had been allotted a project  by  the Central Government  to provide  nutritious foods too infants. The jobseekers were asked to collect a certain amount of money and Aadhaar cards from people who wanted to be enrolled under the scheme.   They were also asked to deposit money as security. Many unemployed youth fell into the trap and deposited money in the hope of getting a job. Some of them also collected money and Aadhaar cards from the beneficiaries. But after a few months, the owner of the organisation and the employees went underground. When the duped youths went to the organisation’s offices at different places to inquire, they found that they were locked. So finding no other alternative they approached the police and demanded the dubious company’s owner to be nabbed and return of the money they had paid. It is alleged that the firm has collected more than Rs 50 lakh.
