Industrial oils recover on renewed demand

Mumbai, Aug 2 (PTI) Castor seeds bold and castor oil commercial recovered well at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today following renewed demand from soaps and shippers industries.

Linseed oil also firmed up owing to rising demand from paint and allied industries.

While, refined palmolein eased further due to reduced demand from retailers.

Meanwhile, groundnut oil ruled steady in absence of any large-scale buying activity.

In the non-edible segment, castor seeds bold climbed by Rs 70 to Rs 4,550 per 100 kg from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 4,480 and castor oil commercial rose by Rs 14 to Rs 940 per 10 kg as against Rs 926.

Linseed oil moved up by Rs 5 to Rs 945 per 10 kg from Rs 940 yesterday.

Moving to the edible section, refined palmolein softened by Rs 2 to Rs 668 per 10 kg as compared to Rs 670 previously and groundnut oil closed unchanged at Rs 920 per 10 kg. PTI BPD SHW ADI ADI
