Crime scene established after woman found dead at Mango Hill home

A woman in her 70s has been found dead at a home in a Moreton Bay suburb north of Brisbane.

Queensland Police received a triple-zero call about 1pm alerting them to an incident at home on Topaz Drive in Mango Hill.

On arrival police found the woman's body, and a man in his 40s with serious injuries also at the scene.

Police said the man was known to the woman.

The man was taken to the Royal Brisbane Women's Hospital with "potentially self-inflicted injuries".

Mango Hill State School has asked parents collecting children from school to avoid Topaz Drive.
