Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari on Wednesday demanded that the Centre expedite the process of “identifying Rohingya and Bangladeshi infiltrators living in Delhi” and launch a “concerted campaign” to deport them. He also welcomed Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh’s statement in Parliament on deportation of Rohingya, Bangladeshi and other foreign “infiltrators”.
Mr. Tiwari claimed that “infiltration” of Bangladeshi and Rohingya, who had been found involved in “several instances of crime in Delhi”, had “adversely affected” the development rights of local citizens in the Capital.
“Bangladeshi infiltrators have been living in Delhi for the past few decades. Time and again, action has been initiated to identify them but due to the non-cooperative attitude of the State government, the process to deport them has been hindered,” he said. In the last one year, Mr. Tiwari alleged that a large number of Rohingya had also “infiltrated Delhi”.
