Aussie ‘Brah’ Get What’s Coming After Drifting Ford Falcon

If there’s anything some Australians love more than having a BBQ and drinking beer all day, it’s jumping into a rear-wheel drive Ford Falcon or Holden Commodore and lighting up the rear tires.

In the country, these people are dubbed ‘hoons’ by the media and seen as a disgrace to the rest of Australian’s thriving car community. It’s satisfying to see these hoons getting their just desserts after trying (and failing) to show off their ‘driving skills.’

The clip shows a man behind the wheel of a silver Ford Falcon, powered by a V8 engine and powersliding his way up and down a public street. Not only does he come within inches of slamming into a parked vehicle during his drifting antics but he fails to correct one of his slides and ends of sliding sideways over a curb and coming to a rest on the pavement.

Things then go from bad to worse for the man. As he does yet another burnout and comes to an abrupt halt in the middle of the street, an undercover police car appears from around the corner and stops the man and his accomplices dead in their tracks.

Depending on the Australian state where this clip was filmed, the man could face some serious repercussions for his antics. In Victoria, for example, drivers suspected of engaging in such behaviors can have their vehicles immediately impounded for up to 30 days and if found guilty of a hoon driving offence in court, face fines of up to $28,000 and two years imprisonment.

In reality, such fines and sentences are rarely handed out but you can be almost assured this man’s beloved Falcon was impounded for some period of time.
