The police today seized over 400 bags of adulterated cement at Peera Bazar area here, a police officer said.
According to the officer, some unscrupulous persons were engaged in preparing adulterated cement in a makeshift godown at Peera Bazar for last several months.
Gathering reliable information, the police today raided the unit and seized the adulterated cement neatly packed in several bags having logos of popular and branded companies dealing with cement.
"Besides the cement bags, we have seized all the equipments and tool kits used for packing the bags," said the officer adding that six persons have been detained in this connection for the purpose of investigations.
