A 38-year-old man was arrested by the Cyber cell of Cyberabad on Tuesday for threatening a construction company owner to circulate the morphed photos and videos. The accused demanded ₹80 lakh through Bitcoins as ransom, police said. The accused was identified as Katabathini Sridhar of Miyapur. Cyberabad DCP (Crimes) G. Janaki Sharmila said in May the victim approached the Cyber Crime stating he received emails, morphed videos and contents from unknown email IDs and phone numbers between May 14 and May 25 threatening to circulate false information about their company and about their project on websites, she said. Based on the complaint, a case was registered and the accused was nabbed by the police.
