Vadodara: An author based in Texas will not only be able to share the e-book that he has penned but also opt for a scheduled theatre or a book club from where he can receive feedback of readers spread across the globe and instantly publish the book again.
This is being made possible through a software platform that is being developed in Vadodara by Product Engineering-as-a-Service (PEaaS) – a firm co-founded by Chicago-based Barodian Mehul Desai, who along with technocrat Sam Pitroda had patented the digital wallet concept way back in 1994.
In last two and a half years, PEaaS has handled complete software product engineering life-cycle right from patent, design, architecture, development to the launching of the final software product for clients based in Canada, United States, Japan and even Bolivia.
“We have already built ten pods each representing unique software product for the diversified companies including a Singapore-based firm which is building keys using vedic science,” said Desai, who along with Pitroda, had co-founded C-SAM Inc, a global technology provider for secure transaction solutions, which was later acquired by MasterCard worldwide in 2014.
“After MasterCard acquired Baroda centre which they are promoting as centre of excellence for mobile applications, we started getting inquiries about whether we can provide professional service for other companies,” said Desai, who along with Vimarsh Vasavda founded PEaaS that has a strength of 60 professionals.
“We are now looking at scaling up our facility in Vadodara further to have 200 people in next 12 months,” said Desai, who along with Pitroda had co-authored ‘The March of Mobile Money: The Future of Lifestyle Management’..
