Police have made an arrest after two elderly men were attacked in an attempted robbery as they walked home from a night out.
The two men, aged 78 and 63, were approached on Abergele Road in Old Colwyn on Tuesday night.
Today, North Wales Police said they have arrested a 25-year-old local man in connection with the incident.
The victims managed to fight back but suffered minor injuries and were left shaken by the “nasty” attack.
Police patrols have been stepped up in the area following the incident.
The man arrested in connection with the incident remains in police custody where he will be quizzed by detectives.
