Tirupur: The principal district sessions court here on Wednesday provided chargesheet copies to Kerala-based couple R Roopesh and Shyna, who were arrested along with three other Maoists at Karumathampatti in Coimbatore district in 2015.
The couple was being tried before the court in five cases, including for obtaining sim cards using bogus documents. During one of the recent trials, they were handed over chargesheets copies for two cases filed by the Tirupur north police. As the copies were written in Tamil, the couple filed an application seeking the court to provide the copies in English for better understanding.
When the couple was produced before the court on Wednesday, principal district judge S Alli directed to handover the copies to the couple in English.
The court has posted the next hearing of the case on August 31.
