Pune, August 2018: Times & Trends Academy (TTA) is an institute that believes in offering learning experience through all possible various media. One of the most successful ways of imparting education has been conducting guest lectures by experts from the industry. The recent session at TTA was conducted by Marathi Film & Television writer – Mr. Kiran Yadnyopavit.
Mr. Kiran has also been a director and an actor for various movies. He had been recently much appreciated for his work as a writer in the Marathi movie ‘Natsamrat’ starring Nana Patekar. He directed ‘Taryanche Bait’ that released in 2011. This movie got fabulous audience appreciation and swept many awards. He also worked as a writer for the movie ‘Deool Band’ that won good audience response.
Mr. Kiran’s session at TTA was on script writing. It was a full-packed auditorium with young enthusiasts from the institute. The session started with showcasing of a movie that Mr. Kiran directed called ‘Salaam.’ After the movie, he explained the nuances of filmmaking to the audience, and the session concluded after a ‘question and answer’ session. Students did raise many questions, all of which were answered well by Mr. Kiran. He said, “To become a good writer, one needs to read a lot. You cannot just start writing. One needs to read more to know different styles of writing. One must also learn to understand what mistakes a particular writer has made and learn from them so that those mistakes can be avoided.” Mr. Kiran shared his 20-year-old experience in the industry and informed the audience about how he started his career in theatre. The audience looked quite captivated by his story.
The session was also attended by faculties and management of Times & Trends Academy. Mr. Amit Agrawal, Founder & Chairman, Times & Trends Academy, was quoted saying, “We are really privileged to have such an eminent personality from the film and television industry to Times & Trends Academy. Our goal is to offer different exciting learning opportunities and also help them understand different career avenues available. Today’s session was very motivating for our students. I hope, students too, earn names in the industry like Mr. Kiran has.”
