External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj today reiterated that Doklam issue has been resolved with diplomatic effort and that status quo has been maintained.
Replying to supplementaries in the Lok Sabha, Mrs Swaraj said Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping did not discuss any specific topic during their first informal summit in Wuhan in April this year.
She added that the informal summit enabled the two leaders to hold direct, free and candid exchange of views without the constraints of protocol and pre-set agenda.
The Minister also said the President Xi Jinping has accepted Prime Minister’s invitation to visit India for the second informal summit at a mutually convenient time in 2019.
