Bharat was constantly in the news last week for Priyanka Chopra exiting the Salman Khan-starrer in the ‘Nick of time’. After days of hectic speculation as fans wondered if Salman will again reunite with his Tiger Zinda Hai co-actor Katrina Kaif, it was left to director Ali Abbas Zafar to confirm that Katrina was indeed their choice. Salman also welcomed ‘sundar aur susheel’ Katrina to the team.

And now, Katrina has finally spoken about the film. She will be collaborating with Ali Abbas -- with whom she has done Tiger Zinda Hai and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan earlier -- and her co-actor of many films, Salman Khan. At a recent award do, Katrina told the media, “Ali Abbas Zafar is a very, very dear friend of mine and we have worked together before. Both of the films were extremely successful and, more importantly, they were experiences for me which were really wonderful and I really enjoyed both the experiences of working with him.”

She also said she loved the script. “When he contacted me, he said, ‘I’m going send you a script and just react and tell me what you think’. I read the script and thought it was absolutely wonderful and I was extremely excited about the character and very happy to be part of the film’,” Katrina said.

Bharat will span over 60 years and also stars Disha Patani, Sunil Grover and Nora Fatehi. A major portion of the film will be shot with a circus as the backdrop.

After exiting Bharat, Priyanka Chopra has signed a new Hollywood film titled Cowboy Ninja Viking opposite Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt. She will also be seen in Farhan Akhtar film, The Sky Is Pink.
