Huawei Mate 20 firmware leaked, reveals Kirin 980 and wireless charging

The rumour mill has been buzzing for a while about the details of the upcoming Huawei smartphones. Dubbed Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro, the smartphones will succeed company's earlier-launched Huawei Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro devices.
Now the latest rumours suggest that the Huawei Mate 20 smartphone will run on the company's all-new HiSilicon Kirin chipset, Kirin 980. The processor is the company's top-end chipset. latest leak comes in the form of a report published on XDA Developers forum by the alleged firmware files of the Mate 20 smartphone secured by a Twitter user @FunkyHuawei. This is an inidication of the smartphone being a flagship device. The firmware, however, does not reveal any other specification of the chipset.
Specifications based on the firmware info and previous leaks
According to an earlier report, the Kirin 980 chip will have a clock speed of 2.8GHz and it is also likely to be the company's first processor manufactured on a 7nm architecture. We can expect an improved power efficiency and performance. The new chipset is said to deliver a 20% performance boost and 40% more power efficiency compared to the current generation Kirin 970SoC.
According to the XDA report, the Mate 20 is said to pack a massive 4200mAh battery and feature a 6.3-inch AMOLED display, if previous rumours are believed, the Pro version of the phone is expected to come with a massive 6.9-inch display. The leaked firmware of the phone shows 6GB RAM and has 128GB of onboard storage.
The XDA report further suggests that the Mate 20 Pro seems to support wireless charging and may come with an in-display fingerprint scanner as well.
