LUCKNOW: Police rescued 10 labourers trapped in an under construction house that got flooded with water after the retaining wall of a drain at Shaheed Path collapsed early on Tuesday.

The incident took place at around 12.30am on Tuesday when heavy rainfall lead to increase in volume of water in the drain leading to collapse of its wall, flooding an under-construction building near Radius Hospital in Vibhutikhand.

The labourers sleeping in the basement woke up and panicked when water started gushing in and started screaming for help.

A team of Vibhutikhand police in patrol heard their cries and carried out rescue operation with assistance of fire department.
