TRICHY: Sleuths of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) seized 6.5kg of
gold biscuits, estimated to be worth around Rs 2.15 crore, from three passengers at
Trichy International Airport on Tuesday night.
The three passengers arrived here from Kuala Lumpur in a
Malindo Air flight at 10.35pm. One of them has been identified as Sherif.
The DRI officials questioned the trio. They were trying to find out if the trio had any link with employees of any airlines or airport ground handling staff, sources said.
