Nagpur: Controversial lawyer Satish
Uke, arrested a day ago, has been remanded to
police custody till August 4. He had been arrested by the economic offence wing of the crime branch for his involvement in a land grabbing case where he was trying to usurp a property worth around Rs5 crores.
Police had also made Satish’s elder brother Pradeep, a former cop, an accused in the case along with others for duping a cooperative housing society on the basis of a fake power of attorney. The Uke brothers and their accomplices, grabbing around one-and-half acres of land, had managed to sold off few plots in the same property to others despite they were already being purchased in the past by other buyers.
