5,000 illegal hoardings removed in Bengaluru, BBMP informs Karnataka HC

BENGALURU: The BBMP on Wednesday informed the Karnataka high court that around 5,000 illegal flexes/hoardings have been removed in and around Bengaluru city till 2 pm on Wednesday.
BBMP counsel V Sreenidhi made this submission before a division bench headed by chief justice Dinesh Maheshwari during the post lunch session hearing .

The BBMP had swung into action following the direction issued by the court during the morning session.

The court had directed the BBMP commissioner to remove all illegal flexes and banners by 2.30 pm or before the serial no 99 which was a PIL relating to the same issue.

The hearing on the PIL has been adjourned to August 8 for further hearing. BBNP has been directed to submit plan of action and further steps to be taken by them on the issue.
