You Can't Ask That: Swingers
ABC, 9pm
Let's face it, anyone who thinks the sentence "nine swingers answer all the questions you ever wanted to ask" to be a dull proposition is a cold fish indeed. A little gem on the ABC, the series allows the viewing audience to scratch their prurient itch over a wide range of subjects generally considered off-limits at dinner parties.
This week's subjects bare their souls, social lives and in one case their bottom as they happily recount the ins and outs of the swinging scene. Stories too graphic to recount in these G-rated pages embroider a full-frontal look at a demi monde that's the source of much popular culture mirth but deeply satisfying to this cheery cross-section of brave Australians.
Taboo
SBS, 10.35pm
Anyone who missed Tom Hardy's vaingloriously brilliant Gothic mystery first time around should seize their chance to get acquainted with James Keziah Delaney, a man who struts around London's muddy docks cloaked like a magnificent crow and rides a white steed fully aware of how fabulous it looks against the muddy backdrop of 1814 England. What's he up to? It's episode two, so who the hell knows... but the villainous chappies from the East India Company are certainly up to no good. LD
