Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal, Mayor Alok Sharma said that the control and command system under Bhopal Smart City project functions in such a way that if anyone jumps the traffic signal then he will get challan on mobile phone even before he reaches the second traffic signal.
Sharma said this while participating in a plantation drive organised at Avadhpuri locality on Sunday. The plantation drive was organised in the wake of recently held function in Lucknow in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi had felicitated Mayor Alok Sharma with Best Innovative Idea Award.
Mayor Alok Sharma also spoke on traffic arrangements and steps being taken for the betterment of make traffic arrangement. He informed that in coming time, in cases of any incident, police, fire brigade and ambulance will reach simultaneously on spot. On this occasion, MIC Member Surendra Badika, Additional Commissioner of BMC Kamal Solanki, Deputy Commissioner Harish Gupta, BD Bhumarkar, former corporator Rammohan Sahu etc were present.
Mayor Sharma administered pledge to the people that they would do plantation to make Bhopal as Green City.
He advised people that after plantation, they should also take care of the planted sapling. This programme was organised in presence of ex-Chief Minister Babulal Gaur and large number of people had participated in it.
Both Mayor Alok Sharma and Babulal Gaur have also planted saplings on this occasion. They also gave five plant saplings each to around 30 housing societies. Moreover, Mayor Alok Sharma went to 10 colonies and planted the saplings there.
On this occasion, Mayor Alok Sharma also heard problems of local peoples and assured to get them solved shortly. He also announced to give Rs 11 lakh for road construction and Rs 10 lakh for drain construction in Kausalya Nagar.
Mayor Alok Sharma said that he dedicates the award received through the hands of PM in Lucknow to 23 lakh people of city.
