Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal, More than 100 complaints were received at the Chaupal organized at the residence of Mayor Alok Sharma on Monday. The Mayor directed the officials to redress all the complaints. Besides financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh was provided to the family members of the 6 people who recently drowned in dam.
Ward 84 corporator Manjeet Singh Maran and corporator Girish Sharma reached at the chaupal along with the grievances of the people. At the chaupal those doing cable business said the Centre charges 18% GST on cable business. Besides the state government takes 20% entertainment tax. The double taxation has ruined the business, they said.
House forcibly occupied
Corporator Laxmi Gorewar said the house of a poor person in Khandelwal Parisar has been forcibly occupied. He said the poor person’s relatives are residing in the house and refused to vacate it. He has been fighting to get the house vacated since 2025, the corporator said.
People fed up of slush
Ward 84 corporator Manjeet Singh Maran reached in the chaupal along with the local people. He said there is slush on the ward roads and the people have to face lot of hardship and inconvenience. He said tap connections have not been provided to the people.
