Following complaint lodged by Congress party in the recently concluded Monsoon session of Chhattisgarh Assembly, the Assembly Secretariat has issued notices to three Janata Congress Chhattisgarh (JCC) (J) loyal  legislators-Amit Jogi, R.K. Rai and Siyaram Kaushik.

In the 50 page notice, the Secretariat has demanded explanation why action can not be taken against the three MLAs under Anti-defection law.

Notably, Leader of Opposition, T.S. Singhdeo, during the recently held Monsoon session of the State Assembly had demanded action against the three legislators.

Complaining that the three MLAs have violated the whip issued by the Congress party during recently held Rajya Sabha elections, Singhdeo demanded to disqualify them from the membership of the House.

The Leader of  Opposition , citing several news paper reports, said though these three MLAs were elected on Congress party tickets, they have worked against the party line.

Notbaly, during the Assembly session, when Singhdeo sought action, Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Gaurishankar Agrawal had assured that he will take the matter under consideration and will soon give his ruling.

Meanwhile, on Monday, the Assembly Secretariat had issued notices to the MLAs and had demanded explanation by August 2.
