Mangaluru: Several people were injured after a private bus overturned after one of its tyre’s burst and collided with a car near Adyar on Wednesday.
According to the police, the incident led to a traffic pile-up on the national highway for some time in the morning.
The bus was plying from Puttur to
Mangaluru. The bus was speeding when its tyre burst, after which the driver lost control of the vehicle. The bus hit a car moving in the same direction and overturned.
Three people travelling in the car have received severe injuries and are being treated in a private hospital.
The passengers in the bus too have been injured and they are being treated at various hospitals.
A case has been registered at the Mangaluru south traffic police station in this regard.
