CHANDIGARH: Patiala MP Dharamvira Gandhi on Tuesday demanded review of the Centre-State ties while seeking autonomy for Punjab.
The suspended AAP leader also demanded autonomy for the AAP Punjab unit from the party’s leadership. “I have always demanded that the command of Punjab AAP should be in the hands of state leaders,’’ he said.
At the same time, Gandhi said he would not participate in Sikhpal Khaira’s convention to be held on August 2 as it had a “different agenda”. “However, I can join a third front if it is based on demanding autonomy for Punjab.”
Gandhi clarified that he did not support the Sikh referendum 2020. “We want autonomy for Punjab, not for one community or religion,” he said.
