Trichy Warriors skipper Baba Indrajith led his team to victory with an unbeaten 50* from 32 deliveries against the Tuti Patriots at Natham, Dindigul
Dindugal:
Trichy Warriors chased it down in a clinical fashion. Bharat Sankar got them to a perfect start, he scored a fifty but departed at the wrong time.
It looked a tricky chase for Warriors but Baba Indrajit brought his experience to the fore and paced the chase to perfection.
Davidson failed to get his yorker in under pressure and Chandrasekar Ganapathy smashed three fours in the last four balls to guide his team to a comfortable victory.
Trichy Warriors' bowlers finished the first innings in style as well. They hit their yorkers to perfection in the final two overs and gave away just 10 runs in the final two overs.
Debutant Nidish Rajagopal was the star with the bat for Patriots.
Nidish came in at the number three and struck the ball cleanly in the middle overs. He was outfoxed by the slower one at 41 and once he departed, Patriots lost the momentum and they eventually ended up at a below-par score.
Brief Scores: Ruby Trichy Warriors 158/3 (Baba Indrajith 50*, Bharath Shankar 51; Ganesh Moorthi 2/30) beat Tuti Patriots (157/7) by 7 wickets
