Voters’ can participate in competition on Facebook

Chhattisgarh Chief Electoral officer office for engaging and creating awareness including motivating the electors of state to utilise their right to vote is organising different competitions through its Facebook page.

Chief Electoral Officer Subrat Sahoo declaring the competition open on Tuesday said that competition is open for voters having registered in electoral roll having valid Electoral Photo Identity Card (EPIC) of state. The minimum age is 18 years. The competitions would be in categories of photography, slogan writing (slogans should be new. It should not be copied as it would lead to disqualification), drawing and sketching on different themes of creating awareness among the electoral.

Similarly, quiz competition would be organized for the voters on daily basis. It should be written with hashtag of #chhattisgarhvotes on the Facebook page of the Chhattisgarh Chief Electoral Officer. The prize in different category would be from Rs 500 to Rs 50,000.

The selection of the winners would be done on basis of the likes on the first instance. The maximum likes within the specified period would be declared the winner. Certificates would also be given to the winners.

As per further information, each voter can participate in each category of event but only once. It should be tagged to Chief Electoral Officer with the caption. The theme has been defined as per the Election Commission of India.

The competition would commence from August 1 to continue till October 14, which may be extended as per the participation.
