OSAN AIR BASE, South Korea—The remains of some U.S. troops killed in the 1950-53 Korean War were formally repatriated at a ceremony here and flown to Hawaii for a painstaking identification process that could take months, if not years.

The 55 sets of remains, which North Korea returned last week as part of an agreement between President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, have undergone preliminary analysis by Pentagon officials.
