More than 10 train services on Western Railway were cancelled


Mumbai: In order to meet their demands, the railway guards of suburban local refused to do overtime resulting which on Monday around 10 local train services were cancelled and many other delayed on Western Railway Union leader of railway guards said that despite having Crew Management  System the railway administration was forcing the Suburban Guards to sign on and sign off from manually.

As a result they were not getting 16 hours mandatory rest as per rule. Hence, the guard had started non-cooperation from Sunday night. Finally, it was ended on Monday evening, the railway agreed to implement the manual sign on/off rule. According to guards, around 15 locals were cancelled due to third agitation and several others delayed by 5-10 minutes. However, WR spokesperson denied any such cancellations.
