Jabong witnesses growth from premium brands in its recent sale

Jabong witnesses growth from premium brands in its recent sale Flipkart-owned online fashion store Jabong witnessed a 150% year-on-year growth for its recently held Big Brand sale that saw more than 8 lakh orders being placed by consumers.

The company claimed that around 2 million products were sold across all categories during the sale to 7 lakh customers. Of this, more than 1 lakh customers shopped during the VIP slots hours from 7-11pm on 26th July, a day prior to the actual four day sale period.

Jabong claimed to offer around 5 lakh styles from 3000 premium international and Indian brands during the sale, which led to a 25% growth in the average order value as compared to regular days.

The company also noted that it had added around 150 new brands since December to increase its overall brand and style portfolio, in the runup to this sale.

"We witnessed a growth of 150% yoy with over 2 lakh new customers and 5 lakh loyal Jabong customers ordering 2 million products over 4 days. For the first time ever, we recorded 1500 hundred orders per minute at peak and had over 8 lakh orders placed during the sale." said Ananth Narayanan, CEO, Myntra-Jabong

Gunjan Soni, Head of Jabong said, “More than 40% sales came from global brands and higher ASP (Average sale price) items. Several features on the demand side like VIP slots, 100% cashback and differentiated 360 marketing helped us acquire new customers and attract 3X traffic across platforms as compared to a normal day.”
