North's Higgins has knee surgery, will miss Lions clash

North Melbourne midfielder Shaun Higgins has had minor knee surgery and will miss his side's match against Brisbane this weekend.

Higgins, who has been in the best form of his career this year, had an arthroscope and clean out of his knee.

Higgins has long been troubled by his knee and the club believed it was better to give him the scrape and clean out of the knee now and miss a week as they shape to play finals.
