HYDERABAD: Hell hath no fury as a woman scorned. And if the said woman happens to be one of the two wives of a man, fury can transgress to emotions quite different. Something similar happened with 44-year-old K Sudha, a woman who was so angry with her husband for not buying her jewellery or registering a property on her name that she stole Rs 41 lakh belonging to her husband. However, the police took no time in solving the case and arresting Sudha. They also recovered the amount from her.

According to police, Kavali Narayana and Sudha, residents of Saroornagar, have been married for over two decades now and have two sons. Narayana, who was into real estate business, had recently married another woman.

While Narayana had amassed properties and lands in several parts of the city, one complaint that Sudha always had from her husband was that he had never gifted her a jewelery or registered a property on her name. This, she claimed, he would often do for his other wife.

Meanwhile, around four months ago Narayana got `60 lakh in a land deal, of which he kept `41 lakh at home. On Saturday he was away from home for work and did not return. On Sunday morning, Sudha called him up and informed that two persons claiming to be his friends had come home asking for the `41 lakh from the land deal. She told him that she had given the cash to the duo.

A worried Narayana lodged complaint with the police, who, in turn, analysed the CCTV footage and found no suspicious movement in the area. When the cops interrogated Sudha, she broke down and confessed of having stolen the amount as she was angry with her husband for not registering any property on her name.
