THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: For the first time, digital platforms are being set up in the state to connect 21,000 elected representatives in 1,200 odd local bodies simultaneously. It is in connection with the two-day workshop in
Thiruvananthapuram conducted as part of the 'Navakeralam programme' of the state government on August 2 and 3.
The workshop facilitates the annual review and future planning for the four missions under the Navakeralam programme i.e. Haritha Keralam, Ardram, Pothu Vidyabhyasa Samrakshana Yagnam and Life and will be headed by CM
Pinarayi Vijayan along with other ministers.
Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education(KITE) has set up a digital platform. By making use of the ICT facilities of the high-tech school programme deployed as part of the Public Education Rejuvenation Mission and also KITE VICTERS channel, the elected representatives can watch the entire programme live and also provide feedbacks through the channel/mobile app/portal.
"In addition to KITE VICTERS channel, the programme will be available in 'VICTERS' mobile app, and through www.victers.itschool.gov.in. A dedicated web portal for feedback collection, developed by IKM and technical support for the LSG institutions has also been arranged. This mechanism would be made use of for all future reviews," said K Anvar Sadath, vice-chairman and executive director, KITE
