Ujjain: A programme was organised, to celebrate the appointment of powerloom owner Abhay Jain as divisional head of Congress Udyog and Vyapar Prakostha, at Arvindnagar on Saturday. Former Minister Narendra Nahata addressed the gathering and said during the Congress era ,even small and medium business firms had shown a significant growth anddoing business had never been so difficult as now, due to the wrong industrial and taxation policies of the incumbent BJP government.
Earlier Narendra Modi opposed the FDI policy and today he had emerged as the biggest proponent of FDI implementation in India, he said. He added that demonetization had affected every nook and corner of public life and it was the same with business. It had damaged the backbone of the business system to such a level that it had not healed so far.
City congress president Mahesh Soni, acting president Ajam Sheikh, acting president Ravi Rai, former MLA Ramlal Malviya, Rajesh Garg of the powerloom association and several other members were present and greeted the newly elected Abhay Jain.
