Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami on Sunday questioned what PMK Youth Wing leader Anbumani Ramadoss did to the people or to this soil when he was an Union Minister.

Inaugurating the government exhibition here, the Chief Minister said that he is well aware of what is good for the people of the State and what is not. But, Mr. Anbumani Ramadoss should think whether he has grown because of the people or the people had grown because of him.

The wishes of the donors who had given land for political reasons and noble causes did not get fulfilled, he said and added that to protect the donated property, a draft has been passed in the Assembly and has been sent to the President.

He said that when the law is implemented, an administrative committee will be formed to fulfil the donors’ wishes.

To also develop the educational standard of Vannia Kula Kshatriyars. the AIADMK government constructed mani mandapam for Ramasamy Padayachi and is also observing his birth anniversary, he added.

The Chief Minister said that government exhibitions bridge the gap between the government and the people as the common man directly gets to know the schemes of the government in each department.

He said that 194 government exhibitions were conducted in the State from 1978 and the number of participating government departments was increased from 15 to 27. He said that the present regime is carrying out 48,504 works to the tune of ₹38,866 crore, which is a big record of the government.

He distributed welfare assistance to 3,504 people to the tune of ₹18.32 crore. Minister for Information and Public Kadambur C. Raju also spoke.

A short film on “Caveriyai Metta Kaviyatayin Arasu” that portrays the struggle over the years in getting the Cauvery Water successfully by the AIADMK government was also released. Collector Rohini R. Bhajibhakare, MPs, MLAs and officials were present.
