Officials of the Badmal Forest Range in Sambalpur district faced an embarrassing situation when two minor boys questioned them over the death of their father in an elephant attack.

Notably, one Tirupati Munda of Jhutamunda village had been crushed to death by an elephant on July 21.

When Badmal Ranger Ramesh Kar and some other forest officials reached the village for investigation, two minor sons of the deceased started questioning them about their future and safety after the death of their father.

The duo also expressed displeasure over an ex-gratia of Rs 4 lakh by the Forest Department for the family following Munda’s death.
