In a freak incident, a two-year-old boy T. Raghuman of Kottaipatti was killed when he came under the wheel of a stationary tractor, on which some children were playing, that suddenly moved due to gravity here on Monday.
The police said that the children were playing on the tractor of Jeyaraman. When one of the children operated the gear, the tractor that was parked on a sloppy ground suddenly moved. The boy fell down and was crushed to death at around 6 p.m. The Srivilliputtur Town police are investigating.
