71-year old involved in sexual assault

Shymala Hills police have booked a 71-year-old miscreant involved in sexually assaulting of his 30-year-old daughter-in-law for the past three months at Professor Colony; a complaint was lodged on Saturday.

Police said that the accused Hiralal Yadav sexually assaulted the victim at Professor Colony for the past three years.

The victim in her complaint stated that she was sexually assaulted by her father-in-law who used to sexually assault after the marriage with his son in the month of April this year and was not able to contact her parents in Nagpur and when her cousin came to meet her she reported the atrocity after which her cousin informed parents and a case was lodged with Shymala Hills police on Saturday.

Victim told the police that her husband suffers from mental illness and is undergoing treatment for the same and the face that her husband is mentally ill was not revealed by his family before the marriage.

Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police found registered a case under section 376 and 506 of the IPC and started investigation.

During the investigation, the police found that the accused used to molest her after the marriage and later when she was sleeping in her room accused went to her room and sexually assaulted her and threatened her to keep mum after which she not reported the incident.

The accused continued to sexually exploit her for the past three months.

Police said that after the case was registered accused was searched but he went absconding and is still at large.
